Who are we? |
We almost forgot about writing.
The craft of writing. The demanding structure of writing. The punishing formats of writing. The marathon of writing. And what kind of person it takes to be writing. Because actual writing takes discipline. After that, the Art of writing comes easy.
Thus, the challenge is this - for ourselves, and those that walk the strokes with us - simply, to write. Everyday. From Chapter One all the way until The End. From today until you're done. Little by little, paragraph by paragraph, day to day, month to month, exercise the muscle until the craft becomes unconscious.
We tackle short stories, novels, poems, prose, correspondences, whatever form literature takes that month, within The Writers Workshop, through format and structure, by craft and design, we train ourselves to become better than what we already are. Writers, writing everyday.
It's a lot harder than it may seem.
